Some games you play simply make you question what the people behind them had in mind, whether they were just reaching for goals they simply couldn’t earnestly achieve or they just got something working and put it out on the eShop hoping for the best. Whichever the case may be with Albacete Warrior there’s little here worth digging into. I’m not sure what’s worse, the insistence on trying to tell some sort of limited story and make generally cringe-worthy jokes, or the pretty threadbare action backed by controls that are questionable at best. If, however, you take enjoyment in witnessing and sticking with train wrecks, have at it.
