Another Pixel Pulp story is here, delivering very retro-styled graphics mixed with hardboiled narrative with some choices
In a narrative adventure that could be considered their most unusual and thoroughly pulpy to date, LCB Game Studio introduces a world threatened by uncontrollable tornadoes and a quasi-religious cult led by a former car salesman, known as the Bahnsen Knights. Players take on the role of an agent tasked with infiltrating the cult and attempting to stop their activities. Similar to previous releases, the game boasts early 80s PC-style graphics and follows a classic Choose Your Own Adventure-style format, presenting players with tough decisions along the way.One of the challenges in the game is to ingratiate oneself with the cult members while avoiding complete immersion in their fanatical beliefs. The experience also includes mini-games, which can be refreshing when they work well, although they have not always been entirely successful in the past. However, the mini-games are vital to helping extend the game's length, which is relatively short, typically lasting around one to two hours depending on the player's pace.Considering that people may have regrets about their choices during the game, there is potential benefit in replaying it, altering decisions, and observing a few different outcomes. Ultimately, enjoyment of the overall experience likely hinges on this factor. If players are drawn to the game's unique visuals and narrative, they may find multiple playthroughs appealing. Conversely, those who are not captivated by the game's aesthetics and style may prefer to move on in search of something more directly engaging.
