  • With a relatively simple mix of slider puzzles and a bit of Rubik’s Cube, this casual puzzler could appeal to the right crowd… maybe

When you get into the casual space, and in particular puzzle games, it isn’t unusual to see there be a central type of play featured that’s then just applied over and over at varying degrees of difficulty. So, keeping that in mind, the core puzzle type in Bazzle, which is a bit of a mix of the classic slider puzzle and a Rubik’s Cube, being repeated ad nauseum isn’t a surprise. I just wish it were a little more interesting as you go, though undoubtedly tastes will vary. I also found the lack of specific direction on how to control things, and then also not necessarily being a fan of the means of control implemented, made me colder than normal on your typical puzzler. If you’re truly a sliding puzzle fan, perhaps it being pretty unique on Switch helps it add a little interest and value, but otherwise there’s not much to get excited about or enticed by here.
