While there may be a simple and pleasant experience to be had here, weird control issues kill the fun
Trying to keep an open mind about the fact that the Switch should have games meant to appeal to players of all ages, tastes, and skill levels I honestly tried with Bunny Park. Seemingly quite simple in principle, simply working on making refinements to your park to help make it more appealing and better suited to making your bunnies happy, it doesn’t seem to aspire to much. Even so, somehow the experience still ends up being a bit of a mess, starting with the game’s somewhat odd and cumbersome controls. There are some attempts at explaining it all in the game but even when trying to follow them directly something felt off, slow, or simply unclear. Then, on a pretty consistent basis, somehow the camera would go shooting off somewhere I wasn’t pointing. This was so bad that I restarted my Switch twice just to use a different controller to rule out that being some controller calibration problem of some kind. Since I had the same results repeatedly, that pretty much killed the experience dead on a relatively simple game that felt like, at best, it would have pretty niche appeal.
