So, sure, mobile conversions of one-button games can work reasonably well and be entertaining, even on the dedicated hardware of the Switch. There’s no need for snobbery just because of a game’s roots, it should be measured on its quality. Well, in the case of Crazy BMX World there’s a playable game there to be sure, just even though it’s a budget title and there are plenty of levels and little costumes to unlock there’s no ignoring its super-simple nature. You’ll be able to speed up a bit or slow down but your real focus will be on jumping, timing them correctly and perhaps throwing in a double jump or more when needed. The action is all side-scrolling and pretty basic, your only goal is really to survive and try to complete the limited stage objectives. A few power-ups peppered around throw in a little more interest but this is a pretty bare bones offering only for people who have limited resources and no access to a cell phone which would play something this simple just as well if not possibly better.
