Feeling a bit like a clicker in principle, just with you moving around with a joystick instead, play here is very limited
For people who haven’t been in the PC space for a bit there’s a particular type of game, usually referred to as a “clicker”, that tends to be a love/hate proposition for people. You’ll start out humbly, needing to literally click your mouse on a button or buttons or whatever, building up currency, which will then allow you to purchase things that will either automate your clicking, supplement how much you earn per click, or whatever. Dig Deep is in that same mold, just in this case you’ll be moving your person around trying to clear layer after layer of dirt in a pit, collecting gold coins and diamonds as you go. Once you have enough you’ll unlock buildings, be able to hire help, and even some longer-term projects. You could then, in principle, stop doing any of the digging yourself, just letting it run and then come back to it periodically to perform more upgrades, get more help, etc. For people who just want to relax and embrace the repetition this can be soothing or even rewarding, just keep in mind that in terms of actual gameplay it is extremely limited.
