Hidden object games certainly aren’t a genre for everyone, and they’re relatively common on the Switch, so it can be a bit difficult to really sort through which are better than others. In Vacation’s favor the art style is pleasantly cartoonish, it’s characters have a good and authentic family feel, and the puzzle areas look good with the items blending in nicely and not being given away by visual artifacts and sloppiness you can see sometimes. There are some additional puzzle types to engage in but they’re few and far between and just average for the most part. If you enjoy the genre this is a good one, though I’ll admit there are some with a story that’s a bit more compelling than generic like this one.
