With some patching it offers a solid mix of farm and pet care sim, but bugs for now should give you pause
This is one of those reviews where it’s a shame because I’m a bit torn on where to put it and rate it. In terms of the idea behind it, there’s quite a lot of good here. Mixing together elements of both a farm sim and a pet care sim, the experience is definitely better for it since many times pet sims tend to run out of steam pretty quickly. Instead you now have plenty of reasons to explore, looking for materials to use, and you can work to slowly bring this neglected ranch back to its former glory and beyond. The issue? Not only is it a bit on the buggy side on a very general level, but within the first 15 minutes I actually ran into a bug that ended up being game-breaking (meaning even if I went to my save file I was still stuck) on my first outing and I would hate to see that happen to anyone who’d invested their time further on into the game. Once it gets patched and there’s less concern with something that catastrophic, I think this should be a solid experience for people who love horses and games around them that have some enjoyable staying power though.
