Despite its mostly endearing characters and gentle style, it’s hard to be enthusiastic about these self-proclaimed losers
For a pretty budget-friendly price I suppose it’s fair to deliver not really a feast of an adventure, or even a full-fledged desert, sometimes just a simple “slice of life” can be satisfying. There’s no doubt that the hand drawn art style and pretty mild and quirky main characters set the stage for what ends up being a relatively quick adventure, but that also makes the game’s brevity a disappointment as you don’t end up having a very full picture of them as people either. By the time you’re getting invested in them it’s all over. It doesn’t help that mechanically some of the mini-game-esque moments that do help make the experience a little more varied don’t all work terribly well in practice, though they do help to at least pad the length a little bit. There’s something here to enjoy if you’re looking for a more chill experience, but it’s hard not to feel like there should have been a bit more to enjoy here.
