The characters, personality, and touch of murder in this virtual novel help make it worth a look
While I don’t tend to be a fan of virtual novels, I still like to think of the verb describing my gaming experience as “playing” there are times when they manage to grab me. Though I don’t know it will appeal to everyone with its undercurrents of teen drama, Murder on the Marine Express at least didn’t bore me, and that can take some work so I respect it. Aside from the murder mystery angle it’s really just these characters generally feel quite genuine, but perhaps that’s from having observed too many teen girl interactions as I’ve helped raise both of my girls through that bumpy span of time. It’s not terribly long, but the budget price, generally engaging dialogue, and fun characters may just make it worth your while if you’re down for a mix of teenagers being teenagers and a touch of murder.
