Though not terribly long, this quirky wordless adventure has an odd charm and sense of humor that makes it engaging
Walking into Pilgrims with no expectations or preparation I’ll admit that at first I found it a bit odd, and wasn’t entirely sure what I was supposed to be doing. However, given a few moments and poking around it didn’t take much to get on board and understand the logic to most everything. The lack of dialogue and clear instruction at times can be perplexing, but in general if you simply continue to explore and experiment solutions do make themselves known (though sometimes not terribly sensibly). The main thing I appreciate here though is the weird sense of humor the game has at times, and some of the unexpected outcomes as you experiment with different solutions to problems. It’s certainly an odd bird, not so much designed as something to be conquered as to be explored and experimented with. If you’re down for something with plenty of flavor and that simply does things differently this should provide a good time, at least for a little bit.
