Trying to answer the question of what it would take to woo an eldritch bringer of the world’s destruction
And here I thought a kaiju dating sim was going to be the most unusual version of the genre I would play this year. Sucker for Love is undoubtedly odd, with the character you play for some reason being set on trying to get a date with a primal elder god-like tentacled creature whose purpose, when summoned, is to bring on the end of the world. But taken aback by your passionate stab at finding love it turns out the bringer of destruction is kind of cute and potentially into it. What follows is a series of romantic gestures you’ll need to carefully consult your newfound manual for wooing scary monsters for help with, working to continue to make her more enamored with you. It’s quirky, strange, and if you’re open to the experience it can be a bit of fun, though it’s also a pretty on rails experience and it doesn’t take much to make a mistake at times and doom the world to catastrophe. An odd bird, but it certainly has some company on the system.
