Mobile-esque simplicity make this budget title reasonably playable in bursts, but there’s not much depth to be found
Relatively simple action-based games that feel a bit more mobile-esque in nature on the Switch are always a challenge to review. Super Box Delivery absolutely falls into that space, with you simply controlling your vehicle of choice, swerving left and right, as you try to collect and deliver packages while avoiding obstacles. This is absolutely a format of game that has thrived in the mobile space since it can easily be controlled with swipe gestures or taps to either side of your screen, and for good reason that they’re easy to understand and digest, always trying to get just a bit further. On a dedicated gaming console though? Even with the Switch’s pretty meager power this still feels a bit basic. That said, it’s at least executed pretty well on a general level, though I wish it had a bit more variety and flair to better justify your attention for a bit longer. It’s reasonably good, just don’t misunderstand that it would still possibly be better suited to your phone.
