This budget action platformer isn't revolutionary but does deliver solid value with its retro style
Considering the first foray of Timberman on the Switch was just a quickie port to the Switch of an exceedingly-simple mobile title I’ll admit that I wasn’t thrilled as I loaded this one up. But hey, I’ll be the first to admit I was actually very pleasantly surprised with the result, which goes in a completely different direction with very solid old-school platforming action aplenty. While admittedly it’s still on the simpler side in its design and ambition, I did appreciate the varied and generally solid level design with plenty of ways that it would challenge my jumping and simple combat skills. Top it all off with a cherry of a budget-friendly price and this would be a great in-between snack to nosh on when you need a break from bigger and more ambitious fare.
