This time warping puzzler will bring some challenge but is treading relatively familiar ground without much new inspiration
When you’ve played loads of indie titles, one definite benefit and challenge is when you encounter gameplay that feels a bit familiar. While there are absolutely games out there that push the limits and break new ground, it’s also not uncommon to run into ideas that are less revolutionary so the task then becomes figuring out how this new title may be able to stand out. In the case of Time Master, unfortunately, puzzlers that involve some element of time manipulation to complicate matters and make you think differently aren’t so uncommon. While some of its individual puzzles do feel different and fresh in their own right, both the presentation and even the controls feel a bit more stripped down than some of its competition. In the end that puts it in a spot where it’s OK if that’s the challenge you’re looking for, but it isn’t clearly at the top of its respective pack either.
