This mix of rail shooting and low-budget FMV footage is simply a mess
For people like me who grew up playing in the arcades, light gun and other shooting games in that vein have always been fun. Ranging from more action-oriented ones to those with a bit of a horror inclination, blasting bad guys and zombies alike is a solid way to blow off some steam. Well, unless the implementation of the gameplay is a serious distraction, then the experience can be miserable. Unfortunately, that’s where Until the Last Bullet lands, with issues ranging from its almost laughable (but not quite quirky enough to be campy) video intro and cutscenes to the pretty lame implementation of rail shooting. Consisting of quickly-repeating full-motion attackers, aiming that can feel tricky, and much higher odds of you laughing at the on-screen chaos rather than laughing with it, it has issues. I always applaud people putting their necks out and just going for it, but even without very competent titles like House of the Dead out there this would be tough to recommend in any way with a straight face.
