Reviews:
  • Offers little more than a simple slot machine simulation with some scantily clad anime gals to ogle

Taking its title quite literally,  Western Slot Machine saddles up with little more than a single, themed slot and a small collection of anime eye candy. Sure, you'll pick your lines, place your bets, spin the wheels, and chase lucky payouts, but beyond that, tumbleweeds might as well be blowing through this dusty landscape.

Two buxom gals flank the slots, but their purpose extends to little more than eye candy. Wins unlock collectible cards featuring, you guessed it, more anime gals in a variety of poses. Lather, rinse, repeat, yawn.

There's a meager thrill in chasing the card collection, but even compared to other Switch titles of this sort, Western Slot Machine feels pretty bare bones and unexciting. Sure, it offers a minimal amount of titillation, but it all feels a bit tame and ultimately limited. Unless you're desperate for a one-trick pony with a side of anime cheesecake, steer clear. It satisfies the bare minimum for meeting what seem to be its objectives, but in general it feels far too limited on pretty well all levels.
