Delivers some classic and challenging platform shooter action with bits of modern flair and variety
With its overall simpler look and degree of challenge, you could mistake Guns N’ Runs as being an update from an earlier time. The thing is, if you’re willing and able to step up to the plate and get through its many platform shooting obstacles determined to get in your way, you’ll definitely encounter enough cool elements to help solidify it as a product of more modern development. The layouts of many stages and the degree of care and precision they will demand can, at times, be quite unforgiving, and there’s not even a whiff of a means of making them less brutal, so this is a flavor that only challenge hounds will likely go for. But, if you do relish a game that will make you sweat and periodically throw your controller there’s plenty here to enjoy that pain with.
