Taking a classic hidden objects game and injecting some humor, this has appeal, though perhaps a bit narrow
If you’re an old person (like me) you may have fond memories of going to the doctor’s office, or perhaps the library, and seeing a Highlights magazine. I would always immediately go to the hidden objects puzzle in them, and sit there staring at the page until I found everything. It’s Kooky takes that essential experience and, aside from making it digital where you can zoom in and out and pan around the full-sized image, puts its own spin on things. What you’ll be looking for is anything that you see that stands out as “silly”. Whether it’s a jellyfish with shoes or perhaps a fish with a balloon, each puzzle will have a certain number of these things hidden within them for you to find. Really, that’s it, there’s nothing more to the idea. While perhaps that won’t have a very wide appeal I could see how it would be excellent for younger or less experienced gamers, as well as for old farts like me who have a soft spot for these sorts of puzzles.
