Hit the high seas in search of treasure, trouble, and generally pleasant exploration and adventure
While the Switch has had a few games that include sailing the high seas and pirates, none has had quite the quirk and charm of Sail Forth. Starting out with your pretty humble little boat, you’ll have to explore, help out the people you encounter, and take on some combat against pirates on land and sea in order to grab critical resources, keep your craft in good shape, and slowly build your own fleet. The bulk of your time will be spent exploring the ever-expanding map, moving back and forth to help complete quests, remove threats, make repairs, and keep your ships afloat. Navigation and getting the hang of capturing the winds to move yourself around can sometimes be tricky, whether around land being careful not to get yourself stuck or in combat learning how best to make your approach, do damage, and then get clear of return fire before coming around again. With some experience and wisdom you’ll get better at avoiding issues at least, but it can be tricky at times, particularly when the wind isn’t being very cooperative. If you enjoy the fun of discovering new places and always wondering who or what you’ll encounter next on an adventure this is a nice change of setting and style of play.
