This well-timed release drops you into the bumpy ride of looking for love, as you try to make a positive impression on a variety of dates
The follow-up to the more Covid-minded Five Dates (in which you played as a young man looking for love through video dating), Ten Dates opens the door to quite a bit more variety and will have you finally able to meet in public once again. This time, able to play as a male or a female, you’ll fill out some basic info about yourself (allowing you to play as yourself or perhaps someone else, just to see what may happen) and then get initially thrown into a series of speed dates. This does bring some added pressure to the mix as you try to strike up a conversation and find common ground with each person you meet, but since not everyone may be feeling you (or you them) this may be for the best. Just to show a more modern and inclusive sensibility you'll even have an opportunity to meet and choose someone of your own gender, which is refreshing for sure. From there you’ll have the opportunity to follow up on some of those initial meetings to try to further your potentially budding relationship. In general I found the variety in people you’ll meet to be pretty wide, their characters at least generally interesting, and the voice acting even pretty smooth and convincing. If you’re a fan of text-based dating sims this full-motion take may be a fun and interesting step up!
